Who can get the largest team for this year’s Run for Women 2021 supporting the Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre inc??? #COVID19 is impacting women’s mental health in our community. The Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre has seen a 30% increase in demand for their services. We’re grateful to partner with Shoppers Drug Mart for the Virtual Run for Women Moncton taking place from July 4 to 11 2021. Walk or run... a 5k or 10k whenever you want, wherever you want. You can even choose to break down your mileage over multiple days! Stay tuned for more info as we'll organize a date and time during that week if you're wanting to meet up with others on our Teams too! Rates of worsening mental health were the highest post pandemic for women, particularly for single parents and for victims of family violence. Here are some eye opening realities: -More than 700 victims of family violence have contacted the Centre requiring immediate help. -More than 200 children exposed to family violence received services at the Centre in 2020-2021. Over 40% of women in New Brunswick have reported that their mental health is bad or very bad. Lets come together and create change! $35 of each registration goes directly to the Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre which equals one hour of specialized counseling for a woman in need!
