We’re so very saddened to learn this terrible news. Our caring thoughts and prayers are with Jill’s family, her students past and present and all whose lives she touched. Rest In Peace Jill.

We’re so grateful we were able to support local businesses for a socially distanced staff Christmas lunch. Thank you Plum Catering in Oakville and Just Greek Restaurant in Etobicoke for preparing and individually packaging delicious food for curbside pick up to help keep us all safe. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and the happiest, healthiest new year.

The students of Florence Meares Public School in Burlington make hundreds of thank you cards each year for the Annual Veterans Appreciation Luncheon. This year the luncheon was cancelled due to COVID-19 so they created a beautiful video showing cards they made to virtually honour our Veterans. Thank you very much Theresa King and students! Thank you Veterans and currently serving Members of our Military. We owe you a debt of gratitude for the freedom we enjoy here in Canada. Today and every day we honour you you will always be remembered as our nation’s Heroes.

This is incredibly disrespectful to the tremendous sacrifices made by our Veterans and those currently serving our country. Please wear your poppy proudly, and thank a Veteran or a currently serving Member of our Military for the peace and freedom we enjoy here in Canada.

We will miss seeing the many Veterans who, if things were better would have joined us at the 19th Annual Veterans Appreciation Luncheon today along with the many volunteers including our Police and Fire services, currently serving Members of our Military, many wonderful people from the community, elected officials, school children to sing O Canada, exhibitors who host displays to honour our Veterans, our generous sponsors and others who would have joined us if things were better. Hopefully things will be safe for us to meet again next year. Please click here to enjoy highlights from the 2019 Veterans Appreciation Luncheon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZOWF0gTt9A&t=3s
