Posted @withregram @accessalliance.ca Happy New Year everyone! Without a doubt, this year has been extremely challenging and different. To end the year off on a positive note, we wanted to highlight the amazing work that we accomplished with our community members! If you would like to support our projects into the new year of 2021, please donate to our organization in the link in our bio! Hidden Smiles Project A group of dedicated women from our community prog...rams stitched 2,400 cotton masks for donation! The fabric used was also purchased by a local fabric shop, @fabrictowntoronto to support their business during the pandemic! TCC Mask Distribution In collaboration with @takethettc, volunteers and workers distributed 10,000 free masks to the community in Jane and Danforth! Art For Change Gallery Show We had an amazing outdoor summer exhibition showcasing the creative works of @accessallianceyouth made in the summer! In addition, @starnahwegahbo created a fantastic community chalk art piece in front of our Jane hub! Take Home Meals Between our Jane and Danforth hubs, we provided our communities with over 500 meals each week to keep everyone fed! Seniors program We connected seniors with a new cellphone donated by Telus and showed them how to use to participate in various digital programs! In addition, we took our seniors outside to our community gardens for a refreshing yoga stretch! . . . #accessalliance #happynewyear #healthyfuturesfornewcomers #communityprograms #toronto #freeprograms #c4cc #leavenoonebehind #2020 #APOD #APOJ #foodwithdignity
