We all have our own timelines and victories no matter how big or small. Don't compare yourself to others. Here are some few steps to help you focus on yourself and stop looking at other's life. Instead of focusing on what you lack focus on how you can obtain it.... It may take time to stop comparing yourself to others but it’s possible. When you look at reality positively, you will realize you are traveling your own journey, not running a race against anyone else #strive #Society #Disability #ThriveinLife #Comparison #Community

3 reasons why do people with disabilities are most at risk for mental illness? A recent study is found that people with disabilities report experiencing mental distress than those without disabilities. -We tend to experience a lot of mistreatments in the form of insults and neglect.... Anything that we are made to feel less than. -Poverty is where we earn less and have less access to monetary resources. A lot of us does not have a mindset like people without disability on how and where we get our income. -External Locus of control is where we internalize the belief that people around us have control over our own destiny and lives. Because of this, we tend to not aspire to more than we are given. Always remember, no one else is responsible to control you and your mind but you. Can you think of any other reasons why? Comment down below! #Fight #Society #Disability #ThriveinLife #Abundace #Poverty #Mistreatment #Neglect #MentalIllness

Hi everyone, I am thinking of hosting a series of webinars in August around students and families with disabilities/special needs preparing for back to school. Do you think this would be of interest and benefit to 1) your children and 2) you as parents? I'm thinking of doing two different sessions, one for students and one for parents. I'd love your thoughts on this as well. Thanks very much
