This piece in support of The Wije'winen Project for The Mi'Kmaq Native Friendship Centre has been a long time in the making, and we are so happy to release it during Mi'Kmaq History month in Nova Scotia, which was first proclaimed in 1993 by Chief Ben Sylliboy and then-premier John Savage. Among other things, the proclamation notes that the Province of Nova Scotia and the Mi'Kmaq Nation recognize that their mutual peace and friendship requires the public awareness of the history, values and the diversity of cultures. We hope you accept this short video as an invitation to do your own discovery along the path toward peace and friendship.
