New Scam Alert take a few minutes and read this post, it could save you or someone thousands $$. There is a new CRA scam on the rise. It is a fake CRA demand letter saying that if you do not pay, they will put a lien on your house. The letter looks very legitimate and even contains the last 3 digits of your SIN. They include a slip to pay your supposed balance owing at the bank. That payment slip contains coding/routing on the bottom which directs your money to a non-CRA ...bank account. There could also be mention of an option to pay online. If anyone receives this letter call CRA immediately or have your accountant check your CRA balances through represent a client. Please share!!
