Accumetal Manufacturing Inc. has a great opportunity for a hardworking and motivated Robot Weld Operator. You can contribute to the further success of the company with your precision and accuracy to help produce high quality products for our customers. The successful candidate will operate a robot welding machine to weld parts in a metal fabrication shop, conforming to all job specifications. Duties & Responsibilities:... Read and interpret technical diagrams to understand the required weld. Acquire and attach the appropriate jig to the machine. Enter information into the control panel to run the required program. Use grinders and sanders as required for finishing to create product free of burrs. Evaluate final product for conformance with drawing and specifications. Operate crane to move jigs as required. Accurately track and document job status in Job Boss software and on Work Traveler. Perform all tasks in accordance with Quality (ISO) manual. Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the production floor and assist others as required. Conform to all health and safety standards and utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess: Completion of Grade 12 Basic ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Must successfully complete Crane training Must pass security clearance screening under Controlled Goods Program of the Defense Production Act. Input necessary data into control panel to load the assigned program. Place all clamps and punch tools according to program specifications, using allen keys and other tools as required. Verify completed part against specifications, using square, calipers, measuring tape, etc. Use sanding/grinding tools to clean the finished part of burrs. Perform routine maintenance on machines. Prioritize work flow based on supervisor direction, materials used and production due dates. Operate overhead crane to move parts as required. Evaluate final product for conformance with drawing and specifications. Complete 100% of the first article Inspections to verify all dimensions and specifications of the first piece from a new part order and receive verification sign off. The successful candidate will evaluate completed products in the metal manufacturing process to ensure conformance with specifications. Your Duties and Responsibilities will include:... Review Manufacturing Traveler for accuracy and completeness to ensure that the manufacturing process has been appropriately documented. Compare finished product against specifications and blueprints. Evaluate paint for color, thickness, appearance, and quality. Perform random selection of measurements for verification. Complete non-conformance (ECI) report for non-conforming pieces and as required generate re-work order. Communicate required adjustments to Production Supervisors. Complete production part approval process (PPAP, SPAP, FPI) for first run parts, including 100% review of all specifications, material certification, heat number, etc. Perform incoming/receiving inspection of ordered materials to validate accuracy of pieces received to purchase order. Provide support, as required, to all production personnel in double stamp approval of First Article Inspection. Use Job Boss software to review and record job related details. Work cooperatively with production members and management in the production process. Provide feedback and instruction where required to production employees. Work independently according to established policies and procedures with limited direct supervision. Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and abide by all health and safety policies and procedures. All other duties as required. Qualifications Completion of Grade 12 with courses completed in the trades or technical stream. Required Skills and Abilities Knowledge of welding symbols. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Ability to use basic measuring devices (square, calipers, verniers, measuring tape).
