Lanolin like sheep’s wool wax? -Ron Burgandy. Exactly Ron, Lanolin is an oil/wax that sheep produce to give their wool protection from the elements. When the ...wool is trimmed and cleaned for use, it is boiled in water and the lanolin is skimmed from the water and is further refined into the Lanolin used for Fluid Film and other products like Chapstick, body lotion, and a number of other products.
