We are OPEN. The ice is getting back to normal, hot water resurfacer is back in action and putting down water twice a day to get ready for Winterfest this weekend. The best thing for the ice is for people of all ages to get out and chew it up, there are still a few bumps from flooding with the hose. So sharpen your blades and tear it up, you will be doing me a favour. Lights are on til 10:30 every night.

It's far from perfect, but it's the best it will be for a long time.

The rink has been resurfaced with hot water tonight and will be again in the morning. Sunday should be a great day to enjoy Achs skating rink and park.

The rink was flooded with our hose today(cold water) so it is a little bumpy out there in some spots. We will put on another flood or two tonight and tomorow morning and then get back to our regular hot water ice resurfacer floods. We had a few long cracks, which were most easily fixed by just flooding the whole rink with the hose. This also may be the last cold snap of the winter so we wanted to build up the overall ice thickness.
