I would like to express my deep gratitude for this community, and the amazing clientele I had. I will miss you all like crazy, but I am so excited for my next chapter. Sheamus and I have a small PSA. In the case of any emergency the contact number is 911. >>Always contact emergency services first.<< However If you are close to my office, I carry and can administer Naloxone to help buy time in an overdose situation until emergency responders can arrive. If you suspect an overdose but aren't quite sure, Naloxone can be administered safely even if an overdose is not the cause.... Be safe See more

Achy Bones will be making the following changes: A new table with a headrest built in so there are no moving parts to disassemble and clean, while still maintaining client comfort with and available headrest. changing full scrub and PPE inbetween each client... completly removing the use of sheets (shorts and tanks will be required for treatment) sanitizing the entire room after each client (we did this before but have removed more furniture and changed things around to make this process easier) using vinyl pillows and bolsters Temperature checks are back with medical grade, touchless, thermometers Masks are mandatory In order to facilitate this we are taking some time to acquire the resources. I am currently reaching out to those who had appointments disrupted, and will open up online booking when that is taken care of. I appreciate the kind messages of support, and hope to get going again with the absolute maximum effort available for both yours and my safety. If you are showing symptoms, whether you believe it to be allergies or otherwise, reschedule. You will not be chastised, and you will be accommodated to the best of my ability. A large portion of my client base and my parents are 60+. Myself and clients return home to vulnerable people. Please respect that.

, , In light of recent developments in our area, I believe it's best to take a pause. For this next week I will close my doors while I re-evaluate how to best keep everyone safe. Much like the ever evolving status of the pandemic, I can not tell you what next week will bring. I am drawn to the quote;... "You are free to choose, but you are not free from the consequences of your choice." And the consequences here are far worse than a step back. If you have an appointment you will be contacted to reschedule. Please be patient, and if you're not kind you'll have the opportunity to rest your Achy Bones somewhere else .

I am so excited to have @northlore back at Achy Bones! If you'd like a quick order before I dip out on vacation send me a DM or an email [email protected] Click to read more about this amazing company and why I feel so strongly about supporting them. Local Sourcing - Rather than shipping herbs here from around the world, we responsibly wildcraft from our surrounding bioregions and support small-scale farmers to grow our herbs locally. Our herb gardens are Bee Friendl...y certified. Folk Methods - We use a variety of time honoured, analog methods to preserve the holistic benefits of the plants while using less energy. Packaging - Our products are packaged in biodegradable paper tubes and glass bottles/jars with metal lids. Although glass takes more energy to recycle than plastic, its reusable in various mediums before being recycled, and will break down if it ends up in a landfill. Amber glass also blocks UV rays and contaminants from harming our formulas and is free of chemicals often found in plastic. Shipping - We reuse all shipping materials received in our studio (why you might occasionally find bubble wrap in your order). Orders ship in post-recycled cardboard boxes with biodegradable paper tape and recyclable, biodegradable, and compostable packing materials. Repurposing - We proudly make palm-free soap, using repurposed organic tallow instead. Palm is a commonly used filler ingredient in soap and other consumables and is destroying rainforest habitat at an alarming rate. Tallow is a byproduct of local, regenerative farming practices that would otherwise be thrown in landfills and contains enzymes that soothe sensitive skin. Northlore operates on a feminist and anti-racist business model. Whenever possible we support businesses and cooperatives run by women, Black and Indigenous folx, recognizing the disadvantages BIPOC face within current capitalist, colonial, patriarchal systems. We use fair/direct-trade ingredients to maintain an ethical supply chain. We exclusively source mica pigments (at a higher cost) that are certified free of child-mining. -We donate a portion of our profits to Indigenous Climate Action. See more

I am continuing this until I leave for Finals on Feb 13! $458.50 raised! Australia is so special to my heart. I called this beautiful country home for a year. In that year Australia challenged, and ultimately grew me. Without that experience I wouldn't be the person I am today. I have always been grateful to Australia for the amazing experiences it gave me. The Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest were my playgrounds for 6 months. The Gold coast, Airlie Beach, Sydn...ey, and my absolute favourite, Melbourne, were just a few other memorable stops. One of my fondest travel memories was hiking off the Great Ocean Road and hearing this terrible bark. We wandered around wondering what it could be (I secretly hoped it was sasquatch). When we finally looked up, we saw a family of wild koalas telling us to get lost! My heart is so broken for all of the beings in this gorgeous land. I sit awake often, wondering how I can help. I can't make the journey and if I did, what could I do? So I've spent time researching. I have found two awesome charities that will directly help with this current crisis https://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/about/supporting-cfa Supporting local firefighters and their efforts And https://wildlifewarriors.org.au/ The Australian Zoos wildlife rescue. To help the animals effected. They are currently trying to build a ward to treat the over 90,000 animals they've had come through during this time. Since I did 90 minutes for 100$ this December, I know I can afford to give the 15$ extra I charge to these efforts. So, for the month of January, every 90 minute treatment booked I will send 15$ to these charities, divided evenly between the two. I will update this post with the amount raised. Thank you for supporting local, and global! $458.50 raised as of February 10, 2020 @ Achy Bones
