O Allah! These are my true household, my unique people, and my kin. Their flesh is my flesh, their blood is my blood, whatever causes them pain causes me pain too, and whatever saddens them saddens me too. I am at war against whoever wages war against them, at peace with whoever is at peace with them, the enemy of whoever shows enmity towards them, and I love whoever loves them. They are part of me and I am part of them. Therefore (please) shower on me and them Your blessings, benedictions, mercy, forgiveness, and pleasure; remove from them filth and purify them with thorough purifying.

DEADLINE EXTENDED!!! Good news, friends! Due to lots of interest from you all, we are extending our deadline for the Children’s Short Story Competition! Can you write an unforgettable short story?... If you answered yes, then we invite you to get creative and put on your writing cap. Write or re-imagine a short story of minimum 700 and maximum 1000 words. Our topic is ‘finding Gratitude amidst a global pandemic’. You can enter in one of two age categories; ages 6-9 & 10-12. Each category will have a first prize winner, a runner-up, both of whom will receive prizes. In addition, all winning entries will be shared on our social media platforms as well as included in our newsletter. O Allah, (belongs to You only) pride, glory, excellence, omnipotence. (You) grant amnesty and show kindness, (You are) Holy and Oft-forgiving, (so), I ask You in the name of this day which You have ordained as a day of happiness for the Muslims. An occasion for Muhammad (blessings of Allah be on him and his progeny) to plan ahead and grow strong to send blessings on Muhammad and on the progeny of Muhammad. And introduce me to every good that had been made available to Muhammad and Aale Muhammad. Educate me to keep from every evil as You kept safe Muhammad and Aale Muhammad from it. Your blessings be on him and on them. O Allah, I ask you to give me the good which Your pious servants had asked for. And I take refuge with You from that which caused Your pious servants to seek refuge with you.
