With the restriction in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic it has been determined we are unable to hold our annual Remembrance Day service at the Acme community hall. However, we will be hosting a drive by service at the Acme Legion. All the wreaths will be set up outside and we invite the communities down to pay their respects in honor of our Veterans. Come by any time between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm on November 11th. We encourage everyone to take a moment of silence at 11am in honor of the veterans wherever you maybe. Following the moment of silence in Acme listen for the church bell to ring in memory of our Veterans. Lest we forget, Acme Legion #76

The Acme Legion is looking for community support. We have a fundraiser for Honey that has been produced locally in Three Hills by Golden Acres. $10 for 500ml of Raw or Cinnamon Honey. ... We thank you in advance!!

Effective March 16, 2020 the Acme Legion is closed. No meetings, functions, or sports will take place until further notice. Everyone take care of each other during this difficult time.

Congratulations to teams Osmond and Thomson. Both teams move on to the districts dart finals in January which will be held at the #1 Legion downtown Congratulations teams. Well done!!

Acme Legion is hosting a Ukrainian Easter Egg night April 13th at 6pm. Decorating is done with a tool called Kistka, beeswax and dyes. You heat the tool with the wax in it and apply it to the egg to create a design. The egg is dropped into dye and more wax is added for each color dyed. Once fully covered, the wax is melted and removed to show the completed egg. It is $25.00 per person you will keep the tool and can purchase extra dye at the end of the night. There will be snacks by Epicure included. 15 spots left let me know if you would like to join.

Our Acme Legion Sr. dart team went to Edmonton this weekend to play in the Command finals. This was the first time our teams have reached this level in darts, so it was quite an honour for us to attend. Out of 17 teams, we placed 12th, which considering our competition, was a good placement. We had a great time and met lots of new friends. Team members: Fred Osmond, Orm Thompson, Gord Waugh and Joan Nahuliak.

Thank you everyone who came out to the Remembrance day service today. We saw over 200 people. A huge thank you to the 1st Acme Beavers and Cubs for the extra hands setting up and taking down, and all the volunteers it takes to accomplish this service. Thanks Brenda Johnson & Choir, Stephan the piper and Rev Brian Way, James Mcgrath, Lionel Seaward, Jim Northcott, Last but not least the Legion Members who were helping for the past week. Laura Jauch, Wayne & Phyllis Deines, Joan Nahuliak, Michael Galloway, Vanessa-Greg Reid, Kylie Sams,Shannon Cardiff Claes, Orm & Gloris Tompson Gregory Reid, Lexi Reid. With out all of you this would not be possible. Lest we forget.

It's with heavy hearts we share the news on the passing of Fred Walters our past President. Once we know more on the funeral arrangements we will pass them along. Our condolences to his family.
