Do you ever feel exhausted at the end of the day and wonder where the time went and if you even got any work completed? Take time to plan and schedule your days and weeks. It’s worth it! Our bodies run on natural cycles known as circadian rhythms. In fact, Jennifer Ackerman’s research shows us that our brains are most alert 2.5 4 hours after waking up. This is when your body releases the most brain power hormones to solve problems, generate ideas, and push through meticulo...us work. Amazing, eh?! ::: PRODUCTIVITY TIPS ::: Look at your tasks and assign them ideal times in your day. Use that brain power window to hold team meetings, brainstorm and solve problems. Don’t check emails first thing in the morning, grab a note pad and tackle that big task of the day on your to do list first. Email is a super helpful way to communicate, but constantly seeing and hearing email alerts is very distracting and breaks our productivity during the day. A fun tool called Inbox Pause can help prevent distraction by temporarily keeping incoming emails from reaching your inbox. Jennifer Ackerman shares that mornings are the best time to brainstorm and make all ethical and strategic judgments with your team and colleagues. Research shows this is when everyone’s mind and moral awareness is heightened.
