Moen FLO is a smart leak detection device that measures your water flow, temperature, pressure and appliance usage in your home through an app on your phone. Once installed on the main water line going into your home, it is able to detect leaks in your system through a drop in pressure. Remarkably, it will even shut off your water main whether you are home or not when it detects a burst preventing further damage to your home. Last time you insured your home were you asked how old your hot water tank was? This is because most insurance companies recommend that you replace your tank when it reaches 10 years of age. The average lifespan of a new hot water tank is 10-12 years upon installation. It is always a good idea to check in with your insurance company to see what your policy regarding hot water tanks looks like. What is a ductless split? A basic ductless split is an air conditioning system that has one outdoor unit and one indoor unit which is connected by refrigerant lines and electrical wiring. The unit outdoors often sits on ground outside of your home and the indoor unit commonly is mounted to the wall to deliver fast, efficient cooling in your home. The basic system offers cooling comfort to one area or zone of the home where the unit is placed, but this can be expanded upon to have up to 5 zones. We frequently install these systems, and they are especially adaptable to existing homes as they do not require additional ducting or drywall repair.
