For Immediate Release: June 19, 2020 We regret to announce the 8th Annual Acoustic Roots Festival, slated for Sept 4-6, 2020 at Huntington, Nova Scotia has been cancelled due to the uncertainty regarding COVID-19. ... Organizers of the Acoustic Roots Festival while disappointed, made the decision to cancel this year’s festival due to the prime concern for the health and safety of audiences, performers, vendors and volunteers. With the size of the festival, it would be difficult to maintain social distancing to combat Covid-19 and to ensure the health and safety of everyone attending the event. We realize that this news will be disappointing for many, but the organizers believe compliance with public health measures are key to controlling and eventually eliminating Covid-19. Looking ahead, we hope you will join us at the festival, September 3-5, 2021 where many of the performers originally booked for 2020 have committed to the 2021 edition of Acoustic Roots. Meanwhile, Two Rivers Wildlife Park, the venue for the festival is open for camping and there is access to some park activities.
