Things aren't going well for Dale.
Dale is at home, still suffering from shortage of breath and unable to walk but is now taking up the challenge of the cancer treatment. Starting this week.
Dale is not doing good. Biopsy cancelled, back on oxygen and blood thinners. Only eating ice cubes for the last few days. She's moving to Vancouver General today ( Wednesday)
Dale is off oxygen which means her lungs are clear enough for the next step. She has a biopsy to start the cancer treatment possibly on Tuesday. Another hurdle cleared!!! :-)
No visitors until further notice. I'll explain when I can.
While Dale isn't out of the woods yet, she is doing so much better that they have removed all the monitoring equipment and transferred her into a normal care ward. She still has the oxygen tube on her nose and the regular meds and blood tests, but she is more mobile and her breathing is getting better. She might even be home in a couple of weeks to wait out the clot dissolving. Progress! Gotta love it!!!
As well as a huge blood clot on her lung and in her left thigh, Dale has also been diagnosed with Oavrian cancer. They want to start chemo asap but cannot until the clots are under control. The blood thinner will stop the clotting but her body has to dissolve the clots over time. Thanks for all the help and wishes.
Can't remember who is in town this weekend, so I will go to the field at the regular time and hopefully we get a practice.
We will have to cancel. Too wet out. Enjoy your day, see you next week
Poor Finn has been very ill, let's send him lots of love and hugs!
