The Shop is conveniently located downtown Salmon Arm BC within walking distance of many office buildings, stores, restaurants or the waterfront marine park. We work to accommodate life in the beautiful Shuswap and area. Job Duties require full automotive inspection, maintenance and repair: Diagnostics of all systems. Air conditioning / Brake/Electrical / Electronic / Emissions / Exhaust / Drivetrain / Steering and Suspension / Fuel systems Engine repair and overhaul Latest computerized alignment both frontend and four wheel of all makes and models Private and commercial vehicle inspections Perform scheduled maintenance service Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements. Specific Skills: Troubleshooting Driveability diagnostics Welding Computer skills Excellent understanding of technical manuals and drawings Exceptional ability to work alone and in a group environment Attention to detail with work and reports Coach and instruct apprentices Ideal candidate: Full set of hand tools to complete general automotive repair AST Red Seal certificate for British Columbia Valid BC Drivers licence with a drivers abstract Good physical condition 5 or more years’ experience on all makes and models BC Motor vehicle inspector license
