As this is my last week before the Christmas break, I wanted to send you all an encouraging word during what some are now calling the Covid Christmas. There will be a number of us, that will not be able to meet with family and friends because of provincial restrictions. How should we look at Christmas in this scenario? As hard as this is to say for me, Christmas is actually not about family and friends; its about Jesus. Even if I am the only one in my bubble, Jesus makes it b...earable. Christmas can still be Christmas, even without all the usual trappings, feasts and people, because as Matthew 1:22-24 reminds us that God is still with us, even in this covid Christmas, because it is all about Jesus. So be encouraged, smile and rejoice while you are in your bubbles because of these words: "All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 'The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel', which means. "God with us'". Have a wonderful Christmas everyone. We'll see you in the New Year of 2021, with a prayer that our bubbles will burst because Covid has begun to fade! Blessings to you all. See more
