Don’t put your health on hold: No matter what’s going on in the world, your regular health concerns don’t stop. Neither does your doctor. Right now, doctors across Manitoba are still available to help with your essential health concerns as we adapt to COVID-19. That help extends to everything from prescriptions and ongoing chronic conditions, to injuries and other illnesses. Doctors are here to help you. They may provide a phone or video appointment. If an in-person visit is ...needed, doctor’s offices are taking public health precautions to screen patients, disinfect more frequently and apply social distancing advice in common spaces like waiting rooms. Most importantly, your doctor can help you decide if you should seek care now, or wait. Don’t self-diagnose, or simply assume they’re not available. Just call your doctor first to get advice. They’re ready to help. https://doctorsmanitoba.ca/callyourdoctor/

We want to know how are you staying socially engaged during Covid-19? How do we best promote social participation? The COVID-19 outbreak is affecting our daily lives and our regular social activities. We are looking for volunteers to participate in a research study on social participation. We hope that the study will give insight into how to promote social participation in times of crisis and during normal times. We are interested in: What kinds of social activities... you participate in during this time of Covid-19 and during ‘normal’ times; How you get information about social activities now during Covid-19, and before Covid-19; and, Your opinion of three brochures that are designed to promote social participation. If you are interested in participating, please click on the link below (the survey should take about 30 minutes to complete). https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZTJYYLC

The Joy4All Project: During these challenging times and ongoing public health measures, we know that it is especially difficult for folks experiencing isolation. Joy4All Project has created a hotline to bring joy to those in isolation. Anyone can call to add a little joy! When you dial the local and toll-free numbers, you will be able to choose from a number of pre-recorded options so that you can listen to stories, kind messages, jokes, and more! https://www.joy4all.ca/
