Lather up! Did you know that washing your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds is one of the best ways to prevent infection of all kinds? Look for this guide next to our touch-less hand washing sink. Well kindly ask you to wash your hands at the beginning and end of your sessions at Active Recovery. Client success story! This client had a serious injury and surgery to repair a tendon (swipe for the before if youre okay with stitches ) ! Hes closely followed our recovery protocols and now look at this amazing result at just 6 weeks post surgery. He attended the clinic in-person just twice and the other sessions were provided remotely through tele-rehab! What a rockstar!

We have exercise equipment, light dumbbells, resistance bands, myofascial release tools, hand strengthening devices, foam rollers, arthritis gloves, TENS machines, k-tape, splints, compression, scar management and much more. We are also working hard behind the scenes to implement a virtual physiotherapy care platform so we can provide you with the physiotherapy and hand therapy services you need during this difficult time. We know you still have injuries, pains and questions about your recovery and wed like to help you however we can while adhering to health and safety recommendations. Physiotherapists and occupational therapists are part of that team. To become a certified hand therapist individuals complete either occupational therapy or physiotherapy. After gra...duating and working they must complete further training with both an internship and a rigorous examination. Creating the correct splinting devices and providing hand therapy is crucial to achieving the best outcomes after surgery. In some cases splinting and therapy alone can help patients avoid surgery. The team at Active Recovery in South Vancouver Island was kind enough to send me this T-shirt. Their leader Nicole Hart is an amazing hand therapist for many years.
