We all need time to restore our soul. My time was spent on the west coast of Vancouver Island this past week.

{1} ONCE ALL VILLAGERS DECIDED TO PRAY FOR RAIN. ON THE DAY OF PRAYER ALL THE PEOPLE GATHERED, BUT ONLY ONE BOY CAME WITH AN UMBRELLA. THAT'S FAITH.... {2} WHEN YOU THROW BABIES IN THE AIR THEY LAUGH BECAUSE THEY KNOW YOU WILL CATCH THEM. THAT'S TRUST. {3} EVERY NIGHT WE GO TO BED WITHOUT ANY ASSURANCE OF BEING ALIVE THE NEXT MORNING, BUT STILL WE SET THE ALARMS TO WAKE UP. THAT'S HOPE. {4}. WE PLAN BIG THINGS FOR TOMORROW IN SPITE OF ZERO KNOWLEDGE OF THE FUTURE. THAT'S CONFIDENCE. {5} WE SEE THE WORLD SUFFERING, BUT STILL WE GET MARRIED AND HAVE CHILDREN. THAT'S LOVE. {6} ON AN OLD MAN’S SHIRT WAS WRITTEN A SENTENCE: 'I AM NOT 80 YEARS OLD; I am sweet 16 with 64 years of experience.' THAT'S ATTITUDE.

COVID-19 Update 19 May 2020 So much has changed these past few months, and yet, many things remain the same. There are safety measures to put in place to reduce the risk of spread of the COVID-19 virus but, in the practice of home visits, you have the opportunity to control your own environment and who you let into your bubble. Many of you have compromised health by definition of age or chronic disease. At ARC Active Rehab Consulting we take your health seriously. With... your health and safety a priority, and following the Ministry of Health guidelines, the following procedures are in place: Environmental Measures: The visits take place in your own home. If you live in a congregate setting such as seniors living, assisted living, or residential care, we must follow the guidelines that have been set by the operator. That may include restricting outside visitors including private therapists. If it is a private residence, it is helpful to have good ventilation (even opening windows) and cleaning/disinfecting touch points such as door handles, walker handgrips or wheelchair push canes. Personal Measures: Frequent hand washing, avoiding touching the face, and coughing into your elbow are the three primary strategies. Personal Protective Equipment: This is the last layer of defense to protecting others. Wearing a mask when social distancing cannot be maintained, wearing an eye shield to protect yourself if you don’t wear glasses. Wearing gloves is as an additional barrier. Our commitment to you ARC Rehab Consulting will do pre-screening prior to all visits for symptom management. They will arrive with hand sanitizer, masks, and gloves for both the therapist and the client. Disinfectant and paper towel will also be provided. We look forward to serving you again.
