May 16, 2021 For well over a year, we have all experienced many challenges, during these very trying times. We have struggled to keep our families, friends and communities healthy and strong. As expected, we have seen our great community, stay strong and focused on the future. We hope to be nearing the end of this once in a lifetime pandemic. But, we know that there is still work to be done and there are events that need to be cancelled, to meet that end.... It is with mixed emotions, that the Board of Directors of the Acton Agricultural Society, has come to the inevitable decision to cancel the 2021 Acton Fall Fair. We hope to see all of you in 2022. Erin Agricultural Society Auction

Due to the pandemic the Acton Fall Fair didn't happen this weekend, but it appears a few WTF's (Wicked Truth Fans) got together to celebrate the Acton Fall Fair... anyway. Here they are with a photo of WT from our 2019 Fall Fair Performance. After playing the tent the past 2 years, we really missed you too. We are so flattered that we were still a part of your Acton, Ontario Fall Fair celebration. Thank you all so much! Seeing this kind of love after being voted Town of Halton Hills Favourite band one again this year in The Independent & Free Press Readers Choice Awards, makes us so grateful to be a part of this wonderful community, the businesses and the people that call Acton home. It's "In Our Town Tuesday" and today we say 'Hello Neighbour' to our friends and customers who make our Acton Fall Fair - the volunteers who work tirelessly beh...ind the scenes for the year building up to the event. This weekend should have been 'Fall Fair' weekend...our town's biggest event since 1913. However, as a result of Provincial regulations during our current world state, the fair board had to make the sad decision to cancel this year's event. Although we all will miss the fair this year, everyone has amazing memories of fairs gone by. Whether it be attending the Miss Acton Fall Fair in it's glory days of the 1970s where dozens of young ladies from Acton competed to be in the royal court, or the amazing concerts that have been on the main stage or in the beer tent, 4H competitions, horse pulls, truck pulls, having amazing fun times in our teens on the midway rides or maybe you remember being in the fall fair parade with your decorated bicycle as a kid...this is what makes our Fall Fair incredibly special. Also, let us not forget our Home Craft division! Thousands of hours every year are put into the home craft entries and making the displays - judged and ready - for the spectators every year. From school children to contestants making the fall fair rounds in anticipation of the grand daddy of them all - the Royal Winter Fair - the home crafts are incredible. Does anybody remember the incredible baking entered yearly by Harvey Dewhurst? or what about those quilts...incredible! Thank you to all our volunteers who make this part of the fair as amazing as the rest of it.
