Our digestive system - did you know mental health is highly connected to our digestive system? Please remember to chew food, this is so important and can alleviate a lot of digestion and health issues. Some people think that if the stomach Qi is not happy, there will be disease and disorder - the simple answer is to keep the stomach and complimentary organs happy. One can do this by not overworking the stomach, taking deep breaths before eating, slowing down while eating, n...ot overeating, enjoy good food combinations and practise mastication(chew). Shovelling food in the mouth, not chewing, overeating and making excuses will certainly lead to disease. Please don't ignore the grumpiness of the stomach qi especially if you are doing such poor actions. Take the time and make the changes to care for the community of the body. Health is in your own hands.
