I just want to share How grateful I am that this Hannukah despite of not receiving my friends and my family in my house , and missing so much my sister who supposed to be coming all the way from Brazil after more than a decade we don’t see each other , I am thankful I am healthy and alive to be back to work and see my patients . Also knowing some of the doctors that I know will take the covid vaccine these next days and these 2 things are everything I could ask for . We ha...ve hope that this pandemic will have a solution and I can ease the pain and struggle of the ones who need my help. They realized only when we were forced unfairly to stop Providing services for 4 weeks by MB Government, that how much they were living their lives pain free for months and years ... maybe was a coincidence right? Now they know it was not . One single treatment beginning of this week for some patients made all the difference of sleep and not sleep , to go for a walk or stay in bed , to relax watching tv or rolling on the floor in pain .... is Acupuncture essential??? Ask each of them , someone even cried just to see me walking to her on the treatment room .... I got scared , I thought someone had died or something but no . She said was tears of joy knowing she would be able to be pain free for her holidays !!!! I was so busy this week thankfully of your great support that I put a bagel in the toaster for a quick break and only remembered 5 hours later that was still in the toaster ! Hello dear patients I did not give up the fight to go back to work . Since the announcement on 10 of November we have been trying to reach the health authorities to overcome their decision related to Acupunture doctors . Erica called all the patients for next week too to cancel their appointments. If you receive any text message from the automatic Manitoba Clinic system Please Ignore it . Until we get to reverse their statement I will Not be seeing patients . Thanks for your cooperation and understand that is not something I have control . Very grateful to be back today to see my patients . It was so busy that I had to cut my lunch break short in only 15 minutes, I normally take one hour for lunch but not today . I just wanted to share the news that at this point we keep receiving updates of our Code red - critical situation that made again Unclear if we can remain open or not . We are having phone meetings with our head office Regulatory body that is CMAAC and we are talking to the President of CMAAC to get us a letter to fight back with these last updates . ( YOU CAN SEE THE ATTACHED LETTER HERE ) So we don’t know yet if we can remain open even if the official government website ...states we can. It s very infuriating we have to lose our nights over their decisions and being consumed with uncertainty of the next days . We will not give up the fight . I will not give up ! You guys know me ! So please write down to the health authorities and express your feelings too. By the end of the day if you have appointments scheduled for tomorrow we will Contact you to tell what will be done . We arw going to cancel our agenda one day at the time since this order came up Until I am 100% there is no return to see in person cases for us . I have good news :- that huge lines due to elevators are getting under control because on Friday the elevator company did the job and now we have 3 elevators again working to fit 6 people in each one . The lines are moving faster . I would still advice to give yourself extra time and it s easier to fit you earlier than if you come late. Let’s hope we have a smooth time after all that stress is getting over ! Thanks for your patience!

I was contacted by CBC two hours ago as a spokesperson for CMAAC. I did not contacted the journalist myself , she had my iphone number ... because another Acupuncture Doctor knew I was the right person to give the CMAAC views . At this point I guess the issue is out there and we have little to no control of what people talk. I don't know what it will come from this interview , she was a lovely and polite journalist and I told her that our intentions was to keep safe a...nd clear communications with the government so CMAAC members can be eligible to treat their patients under Provincials LAWS during the Critical Red. And my question inside of me is : DO you think it is fair and professional that patients receive the care of a professional who has 2 weekends course training in acupuncture and not from an authentic licensed acupuncture doctor recognized by the Federal Government with over 3000-5500 hours of training? patient who was going to menopause in young age wanted to have kids. Her hormones levels were very disappointing to confirm the truth. It did not look good. Heartland had to tell them there was nothing they could do for them. She came here with no period and that diagnosis. After 2 months of #acupuncture treatments She is now having regular periods like in her 20's and she is ovulating consistently confirmed by blood work. This patient , in his 70 ‘s , with poor English but thankfully we could communicate in his birth language wanted I help him with acupuncture for #shoulderpain .I diagnosed him with #myofascialpainsyndrome and he also had #osteoarthritis . I treated him for few times and he was improving . But one day I noticed he was out of breath and he did not look right ; we all doctors have our instincts when things are not well,so I got to analyze his pulse and I did not like what I noti...ced . It was not my duty as #acupunturedoctor to do that but I grab my Stethoscope from my Physician life back in Brazil and what I heard I did not like either . He was having #arrhythmia ( I never noticed in the weeks before ) and it is a problem with the rate or rhythm of the heartbeat. During an #arrhythmia, the #heart can beat too fast, too slowly, or with an irregular rhythm.I treated him but I immediately contact his family doctor and asked if he could see him right away and order an EKG. He said he was not aware of anything wrong with his patient once he examined him months ago and he was totally fine . I insisted , so he listened. EKG was ordered that same afternoon and than I got his results .he is now waiting to see a cardiologist and meanwhile he is aware to go to the hospital if happens again! He told me later if was not up to Me he would never know he has a heart problem. Also at the same day we checked his blood pressure and was high . He was not taking any blood pressure medication. So his MD is now aware to track his blood pressure closer. We phoned the cardiologist that his physician said he sent him and hopefully soon he will be able to see him. And I told him , I am not supposed to be the first person that he has to see when his heartbeat goes out of rhythm. He has to go straight to the hospital . I think his problem communicating in English did not allow his physician to understand his symptoms. Good thing I was able to translate and explain to the family doctor what was going on and he took action. That is what I believe. Eastern and western medicine to work together , one helping each other for the same purpose. Here is is EKG and I am waiting to receive his last one day in his physical a year ago ... to see if was completely normal or he showed some of these problems reported . See more

Quick updates : the photo on the left , dressed in mask and in blue gown is how you are going to see me until this pandemic is under control and maybe I keep even when is done . But after everyone was gone I took a photo where it shows I am happy and refreshed after my last summer vacations ! Not leaving again until the end of this year ! Also as a reminder , TOMORROW masks will be mandatory at Manitoba Clínic . One thing that made extra happy today , it s wonderful when you see someone trusting your with their best efforts for the second time ! This patient who I saw back in 2018 had problems with #infertility. She lived far away from Winnipeg. So during that winter 2017-2018 I treated her few times and she got pregnant earlier than I expected . Than because of the distance she only showed up at 39 weeks pregnant saying if I did not helped her she would be induced next week . It wo...rked and days later she had her beautiful baby ! Now she is back for baby number 2 !! She has been trying for over a year and she realized she had to come back to what worked in the first place ! It s always a honor to receive the trust for baby number 2 and sometimes number 3!!! Thank you ! Remind to patients that manitoba clínic is still screening patients downstairs. More doctors are seeing patients in their offices so the lines are bigger now . The plan is to maintain this procedure of safety guidelines for now . It s very important patients arrive punctually for their appointments . Before pandemic several elderly patients who had been Suffering with aches and pain due to arthritis and spinal conditions were very fortunate to do their traveling around the world before covid 19 took place !
