Canadian violist & ACWC member Emily Hiemstra is pleased to support emerging composers in championing and performing new works in 2021. SIX new works for solo viola will be programmed and performed in fall 2021 in a digital format, owing to the constraints of COVID-19. The application is available here https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSc3RqzNbhedhfPuo/viewform. . Composers are invited to submit previously unperformed scores OR score proposals for a 3-5 minute work for sol...o viola. Applications may be submitted from February 1 to March 1. The 6 selected composers will be notified of selection end of March. . Composers are welcome to submit scores/proposals that include electronics (provided they are performer friendly), partially completed scores (with proposal), or transcriptions of previously unperformed works. If you have any questions about submissions or need clarification, please email [email protected]. . There will be two selected composers from each of the following categories; . 1) members of the Association of Canadian Women Composers 2) Canadian composers 3) International composers .
