This intimate lakeside ceremony complete with crystal clear water, a hidden + private cove, + sweet mountain views was all kinds of perfect, even though it was much different than what Sarah + Aaron had originally planned. It’s been such an incredible privilege for us to witness couples making the best of a strange + challenging situation + bringing it back to what really matters - celebrating + honouring their love for each other

Some of our favourite shoots are often the simplest ones - walking around your favourite neighbourhood, drinking coffee, + just hanging out ‘til well after blue hour. You in your element, wearing your favourite clothes, inviting us into your day-to-day realness. Us being given the opportunity to document your life together authentically, how you really live it.

Some things we’ve witnessed during this strange time: - Neighbours bringing out their recyclables for someone who was struggling and collecting in the alley behind our building - Lots of beautiful art that people are making + sharing while self-isolating - People volunteering to shovel walks, deliver groceries and medicine, etc. to others who are vulnerable in the community - Friends + family finding creative + fun ways to spend time with each other... - More kindness and gratitude being shown to those who work in emergency services as well as essential service workers who are often overlooked, undervalued, and underpaid - Creatives and small businesses offering subsidized or free resources to those in need - Very cute alternatives to handshakes - Posts of people showing love to local businesses and sharing how we can support them right now - An increase of random acts of kindness, like toilet paper rolls being left out for people to take + cute chalk art to boost everyone’s spirits - Some of the funniest memes we’ve ever seen tbh + everyone sharing them around bc we all just want to make each other laugh + smile Us humans are so flawed, but we are also so beautiful + kind + creative + resilient + good.
