Hey ya'll! Sorry I've been quiet. Moved into a new place where I can record 24/7 so I've been busy. I've never edited my vocals and because of that, I hate all my vocals and I recently started using melodyne to put those little buggers in the right way id sing live (i can't record vocals separate cause it makes me feel uncomfortable so they never come out relaxed and makes some notes not rounded with some slightly off hiccups) and its stream lining production of new music! ...On top of that, I can play drums again so programming drums got so much easier! Some updates! The new album is basically done! You can hear the instrumentals (minus drums, cello, and piano) at the bottom of this post. I, like basically all musicians, haven't been able to sing or play much due to being in apartments with thin walls and people being stuck inside since March....Not to mention very loud and obnoxious neighbors that mock and break your mind set. ... But the band is formed (minus i think bass really) so if there's a bassist out there wanting to be in this project, nows your time to reach out! I've been eying some of you up so it probably won't be a shock if you message. Also any weird as instruments are so welcome. You think your weird instrument would fit in the music...i encourage you to come to the studio and lay it down with us. Restrictions are getting more ease in toronto so that means that practices spaces and studios will be open again and we can actually do shit as musicians again!!!! Originally I wanted to just smash out shows when this was done but who knows when shows will be a thing let alone touring! Gives us more time to make something really magical! The band members will be introduced in the coming months and hopefully some singles/music videos/new music to listen to! In the mean time, watch my old music videos and listen to my old music you ungrateful heathens, under my name (Adam Evers) on what ever streaming service and what not. Those views and numbers need to be higher for the people involved in that stuff! Also labels look at that stuff...soooo. Just leave it running for a few days. I'll be probably still doing solo stuff under my name, stripped down versions, and live solo sets but all music will be under the Amala moniker since its not just myself in this project. It's a bunch of talented and beautiful individuals! But ya! New music, band members, shows, probably some cool news, merch, music videos, and so on and so on, will be coming at ya when we are actually allowed to be human again. Back to the writing grind. Started working on a Track called Tea Leaves. Memph wasn't too hyped on it tho.
