This is one of my favourite sayings from one our songs in our piano books. When my students start getting frustrated with their music, I tell them to slow down, look at the music carefully and it will become easy! What’s your favourite music saying?
Aww... poor puppy. He must need to slow down and read his notes carefully. Or ask for some help. Keep practicing and use the ABC’s of practicing.
Happy Presidents Day to all my American families.
I laughed way too hard at this one. Hahaha!!
I am all ready for lessons. In person, in studio only (for now) or online, I’m good to go! Thanks to my amazing friend, Cory. She made this awesome mask and it fits and looks fantastic!

Second day of piano has started. Even my adults are getting back into the swing of things. Here we are using Piano Maestro. A great app that helps break songs into smaller parts. This helps our adult brains learn quicker. Way to go!
Brother and sister, Jane and Nolan, were so excited to be back at piano lessons today. If you notice, their masks are behind them. We distanced ourselves and took these fun pictures.

I thought we could all use a little Chopin on this fine Friday starting out long weekend. But not just any version! Woody Woodpecker must be a part of it. Hope you enjoy. https://youtu.be/MBTxghBT7c8
This would incredibly difficult to play. Just imagine! No black keys? Could you play it? Not sure if I could. But what a beautiful piano to look at.
Good to know for the fall that piano is lower risk.
Tip of the day! Playing with nice curved fingers, strong fingertips and flat tabletop wrists.

Although this video is for teachers, I just had to share! We are just starting to use these books with the summer students. And I must say, they are great books. Especially the Note Printing one. You write your notes in and then learn the song. Whos up for a challenge? So excited for the rest of my students to try these in the fall!

What a great project. Many from Calgary in this. But a small shout out to my cousin from Regina, Carmelle Pretzlaw. She plays violin in the Regina Symphony Orchestra. Catch her at 3:29 in the top left corner. But most of all, enjoy this beautiful music.
