To My Customers, Community, Family and Friends- On Monday April 27th, I made comments that were insensitive, inappropriate and not indicative of my character as a resident and business owner in this city that has embraced me. For all of my comments, I am deeply and truly sorry. Later on Monday, I deactivated the Adamson Barbecue Twitter account because Conspiracy Pizza, which I have had no involvement since July 2019, was unfairly getting dragged into my irresponsible commen...ts. This was my fault and my fault alone. Knowing that any apology does not take back the inappropriate and insensitive comments from this week, I am sorry to everyone that I affected, insulted and offended. I’m sorry that it took the additional public comments and response to tell you how truly sorry I am. Regardless of where in the world we live. Regardless of belief, race, color, creed, disability or social standing, I realize I must do better in seeing what is truly going on around us and be more sensitive to everyone. Over the last seven years, from my little food truck to what we now know as Adamson Barbecue, the community has shown nothing but love in supporting the passion I have in serving Texas barbecue to all of you. In the coming days, weeks and months I will be reaching out to those I have affected. I will show everyone that this truly an isolated occurrence and my comments are not who I truly am as a person, a business owner, a husband, a father, and member of the community. When I started the @stokestackbbq food truck in 2013, I couldn't get any of the produce companies to deliver to us. We were working out of a gravel lot and couldn't meet the minimums. Then I got in touch with Ezio from @bondiproduce - he would come by with our potatoes and cabbage in the trunk of his car to fix us up! They were a huge help from the start and they've always treated us really well, and always get us out of a bind when we're in one. Now they are the ones in a bi...nd. Most of their restaurant customers have closed up. Just like us, they've had to pivot to free home delivery for residential customers. They've got way more than just produce. Just took a look through the menu- you could use 'em instead of the grocery store. There's all the fresh produce you could need, raw meats (steaks, chicken, sausages etc), grocery items like flour and canned goods, even prepared foods like lasagnas from Buca.
