How important is a terrain park to your experience at Adanac Ski Hill?

Get out and enjoy the fresh snow!!

Being an avid snowboarder and skier myself I understand everyone’s frustration with not being able to get out and ski yet, but I think everyone needs to take on...e step back, I understand that other hills are open but you simply can not compare one hill to another, different hills have different snowmaking equipment and abilities. It needs to be -8 degrees for multiple days in a row to blow snow at Adanac because the hill is on city water that has chemicals in it. Despite all the snow we received, it has still been a very mild December. Also, saying that the hill should have never been handed over to the city is a little unfair, considering the million dollar lift that was put in just last season, people have always complained of lift lines, now the line is half the size. We are extremely fortunate to have a hill right in the middle of the city that you can drive to for a couple hours of skiing and not spend hours in the car getting to and from. I understand that it’s frustrating, but let’s look at the positives. See you all opening day, I’ll be getting first chair! See more

We are getting a lot of messages from people inquiring about when the ski hill will open. The City has not yet provided a date and it appears the hill still needs to make a lot of snow. If you have concerns the best thing to do is call or write a letter to your local council member. Continue thinking snowy thoughts and hopefully Mother Nature helps us out.
