Well people are starting to come back in for massage and after this unusual and stressful experience inside a pandemic, they are happy to be able to take care of themselves again. I personally am starting to look at how this whole thing has effected me and what silver lining there might be. It was stressful having my practice closed and it wasn't my idea! thank God I am back at it again and helping people go through these trying times.
Looks like someone in high places caught my last post. As of today Adaptable Massage is open to for treatments. Those of you who have specific needs to maintain or improve mobility, you will be given priority over general relaxation work. The schedule will fire up quickly and I will be calling many of you in the next couple of days to restart. I look forward with great anticipation to be treating you all once again.
So the Premier has announced another extension until June 9th for the emergency orders. I don't know about you but I am ready to go back to work yeatserday. There are only so many projects you can do around the house before you run out of projects to do around the house! I know there are many out there that really are missing your treatments. Please call any time with any questions or concerns for a 10 minute complimentary consultation. May God bless our leaders with wisdom and renwed strength each day in Jesus name!
Well the numbers are shrinking and this very unusual and stressful time is starting to wind down. Of course for those who are sick and for those who have lost their lives and loved ones, mourning, our continued support and prayer will continue. So right now the date for the clinic to reopen is May 21, 2020. I have been busy with some free time improving the clinic environment to promote comfort and relaxation during your treatment. New ceiling tiles have been installed that will help to maintain a more even and comfortable climate in the treatment room. I will talk about other improvements in the next post.
Call and get 10 minutes of consultation free!
So it looks like the first week of May now until Massage Therapists will be allowed to administer massage therapy. So in the mean time if you have any issues, pain, or problems you would like to discuss please call 519-974-9097 during my advertised business hours or email [email protected] and I would be happy to help you get through these unusual times.
Ontario ordered closing: As of March 31, 2020 the Ontario Government has determined that Massage Therapy dose not qualify as an emergency or essential service and therefore the clinic will be closed until at least April 14, 2020. The quarantine is being accessed every 2 weeks so I will be updating accordingly. Please feel free to contact me with any questions related to soft tissue injury, pain or stress management. God Bless our front line workers!!!!
FYI if you are not feeling well and, or, you have travelled outside of Canada in the last 30 days I will not be allowed to offer you massage therapy services until after March 31st, 2020.
So it looks like we are I the middle of a pandemic and our lives are going to be a little different for the next few weeks. As of this post, thank God, there has been only one rep death from Caronaviris so far in Canada, and there are still no reported cases in Essex County. At Adaptable Massage we have been given specific guidance from the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario about enhanced prevention measures so that both the patients and the therapists have the best ...chance possible of avoiding any contact with Coronavirus Certainly I respect your wish not to come, although I will tell you that we have been implementing the new guidance about cleanliness in the treatment room and washroom areas as well as personal hygiene. Optionally Massage Therapy can be effective through clothing or on the skin with the therapist wearing gloves. The safety and security of our patients is always our primary concern.
25 Years has gone by already! I would just like to say thanks with this promotion for what's left of 2019.
It's very easy to work too much these days and it can set us up for injuries, sickness and even disease. I thought I would share with you over the next few posts, some signs that you may be working too much. Regular Massage Therapy, even as little as a half hour per month can help if you are showing any of the following signs. 1. You turn to alcohol for relaxation Working more than 40 hours per week can make you more likely to drink risky amounts of alcohol. That’s a min...imum of 14 drinks for women and 21 drinks for men per week. Excessive alcohol consumption can also increase your risk for life-threatening conditions. Massage Therapy treatments can be tailored to the needs of each person and be used to create a substantial relaxation response in the body. Once you know what it feels like to be relaxed then you will know when the stress is building and, as an option, get a therapeutic massage before resorting to a substance to manage your stress. Relaxation techniques can also be taught and are very portable for use at work and at home..
