. . I was blessed with the rarity of having relatively good eyesight, whereas 90% of my family had some form of permanent eye prescription. But slowly throughout the years, I noticed that my far-sightedness was becoming more blurry. . I insisted that I didn’t need glasses because I haven’t needed them my whole life.... . And even when I conceded and got myself a pair of super low-grade lenses, I only used them when I absolutely needed to (i.e. when I was driving somewhere foreign - not even when I was driving in general!) . As I got older though, I realized that wearing my glasses, even around the house, helped me get to places faster. I wasn’t squinting at small street signs or house numbers; I wasn’t constantly leaning forward in an awkward, uncomfortable sitting position when I was on the computer. Hey, I can even appreciate the birds in the trees outside my window! . Having a coach is like getting those pair of low-grade glasses - even if you don’t feel like you need one, things become clearer faster. Suddenly, you see things you didn’t think you would appreciate seeing. You notice things that you’ve never noticed before. And you achieve goals more efficiently because you have a new lens to look through. .
