Adema Family Farms 03.10.2021

Now that we settled into our new home over the winter, it's time to start growing food again!! Veggies are started, fruit trees are coming soon, and we have new little chicks (hopefully most of them are hens) so we can have lots of eggs.

Our kids LOVE the new little chicks we have this summer.

Picking strawberries and lettuce today. It's so funny to watch the new little chicks chase each other for strawberry tops. :)

Come check us out at the Strathroy Farmer's Market every Saturday 8-12. We have good ol' strawberry jam $4.00/250ml or $8.00/500ml, lose leaf lettuce, spinach and radishes ready now. Everything we grow is chemical free!

We are thankful for the rain this morning! Hopefully the plants will spring back to life now.

Putting some feelers out there: We are thinking of starting up our veggies production again. We are wondering if any of our local friends n' family would be interested in a weekly basket? We haven't worked out the details yet (price, delivery, etc), but if those were right for you, would you be committed to buying local produce instead of from the grocery store?

We have some very happy hens! Are you looking for farm fresh, free range brown eggs? We are selling eggs for $2.50/dozen.

The chickens have a new pen and can roam around wherever they please. They are also enjoying a diet of raspberries, bread, brocolli, yougurt, bugs in the grass and lots of yummy things.
