We started this journey by setting a budget, then we took a look at mortgages & options, received our pre-approval, hired a lawyer that specializes in real estate, created a wish list, ensure we had our checklist as we started house hunting & placed an offer, had our offer accepted (Yay!)..., passed home inspection, selected our mortgage banker and had the home appraised. Now it is time to coordinate the paperwork. I know this is not the most exciting step. However, as you can imagine, there is a lot of paperwork involved in buying a house. Your lender will arrange for a title company to handle all the paperwork and make sure that the seller is the rightful owner of the house you are buying.
