ADJTOS Survey: The Ontario Government of Ontario, under Bill 175, Safer Ontario Act 2019 requires each municipality to develop a Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Plan. The County of Simcoe is working with Avail Consulting to lead the project. The Township of Adjala-Tosorontio has been grouped with the Town of New Tecumseth and the Township of Essa, to form the Nottawasaga grouping, and we are also working with the Nottawasaga OPP to prepare a Community Safety and Well-B...eing (CSWB) Plan. The development of the CSWB Plan starts with considering risk factors such as systematic discrimination, affordable housing, poverty, mental health and other social factors that may contribute to crime. The Nottawasaga working group has identified mental health, housing and job creation as our collective areas of focus. As one of the first steps in developing the CSWB plan, Avail Consulting has developed a survey focused on CSWB priority areas to introduce the plan to our community as well as to engage with and receive feedback, thoughts and recommendations from our residents. NOTICE: Weather permitting, the outdoor rink at Central Park in Everett (9 Loree Drive, Park) will remain open for leisure skate ONLY, no game play of any kind (i.e., hockey or shinny), daily from 7am to 8pm. As a result of the Provincial Emergency Declaration, effective January 14, 2021, a maximum of 5 participants from the same household, will be permitted on the ice at any given time and face masks/coverings must be always worn. Each skater will now be permitted a time li...mit of 30 minutes. Participants will be granted access on a first come, first serve basis, with rotations starting every HALF hour (30 minutes). All COVID-19 protocols must be adhered to. In addition to wearing a face mask, physical distancing of 2 meters must be always maintained and minimum of 3 meters when engaged in skating, wash/sanitize hands often and stay home when ill. Please note, while outdoor rinks will be monitored to ensure permitted participant numbers are not exceeded, rinks are unsupervised and equipment/rink boards are not sanitized. The rink is maintained by volunteers and is NOT maintained or monitored by Township Staff. CSA approved helmets are mandatory and sticks and pucks are not permitted at any time. See more
