For as long as your lash artist maintains his/her integrity while lashing you then this treatment should not damage your natural lashes A number of factors can cause damage to your lashes. Let’s focus on one of the most popular culprits : the . ? ‘Stickies’ is a term used when neighboring lashes are glued/stuck together during an eyelash extension service. ? These occur when a natural lash is not properly isolated before placing the extension causing neighboring lashes to stick. When we move too quickly & don’t give the adhesive (glue) ample time to cure (dry) before moving on to the another lash extension attachment. When too much glue is used to apply the extension. ? Each lash strand’s growth stage differs from one another. One lash may be at it’s mature or resting phase, while other lashes may be on its growth stage such as baby lashes. When lashes are stuck together, one resting lash maybe pulled by a growing baby lash damaging the hair follicle permanently. ? Oooop! Don’t worry. There are ways on how we can prevent this from happening. . The best way to prevent these ugly malicious stickies is through proper isolation and application of each eyelash extension. Even then stickies may still occur from time to time. Hence, I personally do my due diligence in checking each lash at the end of your service and make sure you don’t come home with one! . This is vital in stickies prevention ladies. A lil ball at the bottom of the extension is usually what I personally aim for but not a blob. This will allow the glue to quickly dry and bond with your natural lash. After applying, I usually hold the isolation for 2 more seconds just to give it more time to cure before moving on to the next application. . I never move to next lash beside the previous lash i extended to ensure that I am giving the previous application the window time it needs to COMPLETELY cure. This is very important especially that we can’t really tell by looking if the adhesive has cured or not. These are the best practices I follow when it comes to lashing. But then again, factors like humidity, temperature, freshness of the glue blob, can affect all these. We can only do our best for you!
