We had a very scary accident with our girl Josie yesterday If you have French doors or any glass door and dogs, PLEASE be careful!! Josie scratched at the door and the glass broke, cutting both her legs and hit a vein. Thank goodness we were home and able to rush her to Kensington Vet Clinic. She had surgery to stitch the wounds and is on the road to recovery now. Huge thank you to Pam Montgomery and Carrie Lavers and ALL the KVC staff for treating her so well. My door is... covered with cardboard now and will be replaced with a solid door. I will NEVER have glass where a dog can reach it again! Please keep this in mind if you have pets, honestly something I never saw coming. See more

I'm ready! Re-opening Friday at 630am! A few notes to all of my valued customers. PLEASE BE KIND . Not only to me but to everyone who is adjusting to this "new normal". If anyone in your home has been out of the province or are self quarantining, please do NOT bring your dog for grooming. I will reschedule your appt after your quarentine is up. The virus can be transmitted via dogs fur, leashes and collars. Please wait in your car, I will come out and get your pups an...d return them when complete. I'll be wearing mask and gloves, and haven't seen a hairdresser since February, don't be alarmed, lol! All pre-booked appts will go ahead as planned for the remainder of 2020 If you missed an appt or do not have one booked I am trying to squeeze you in to an already full schedule of pre-booked appts. There are currently 119 people on my list wanting in asap....please be kind Nail trims, face trims, or anything that doesn't include a bath will have to wait until June 1st. (phase 3). If your pup is matted because of missed appts, it is not your fault! But they may have to be cut shorter than usual. It's too painful for them to brush out all those matts. Great news!! Looks like I will be able to re-open May 22nd!! Appointments that are booked AFTER May 22nd will go ahead as planned. For all of my valued customers that had appointments during the time I was closed, I will do my best to get your fur babies in as soon as I can. PLEASE be patient, I have almost 100 doggies that are wanting in ASAP. Miss you all, cant wait to be back!!

Hi everyone! I've had some messages from clients wanting advice for nail trims etc. Here are some great pics and a video I made last Sunday. Stay home and stay safe

FYI.....I've had some inquiries today to see if I am the dog groomer in the Kensington area that is open. It's most definitely NOT me. I sadly closed my doors on March 19th when all non-essential businesses were supposed to close. This virus can live on surfaces for at least 48hrs, dogs can be a carrier the same way a door knob, counter or any other surface can be, except they can't be sanitized! Please be careful out there folks and keep your pets safely HOME with you!!

It is with a very heavy heart that I have decided to follow the directives of our experts and close the Paw Spaw until further notice. Although I am a very low risk operation, we should ALL be staying home whenever possible during these troubling times. I will not be rescheduling anyone until I am back to work, and will update on a weekly basis going forward. Please...enjoy your doggies, take lots of walks and give them lots of snuggles. Hopefully if we ALL follow the rules the pandemic damage will be minimal and we can all get back to normal soon.
