Tools for Planning Ahead: Power of Attorney, Protection Mandates, Advance Medical Directives, and Wills October 22, 2020 - 9:30 to 11:30 AM This event is for participants who live in Mainland Quebec... Register by October 13 by sending us an email with your contact info (name, phone number and organization) at: [email protected]. A confirmation email will be sent to you within 2 working days. This online workshop will explain the various legal tools available for planning ahead. After a brief refresher on power of attorney, protection mandates, and advance medical directives, the workshop will focus primarily on wills. We will cover such topics as the three different types of wills that are legal in Quebec, the advantages and disadvantages of each type, how to make a will, the conditions to respect to ensure that a will is valid, and how to update a will you have already. This will be an excellent opportunity for seniors who need to modify their current Will or wishes to understand the requirements regarding Mandates and the relatively new law Advanced Medical Directives. -- Kevin Erskine-Henry Community Outreach [email protected] ARC Assistance and Referral Center
Today we had a lot of conversations. We also did some brain games, exercise and crafts. Debbie a new volunteer had suggested we make little men as players for a new game she will be creating for the center. What a great idea! It was a nice day to end the week with! Happy Friday everybody! :)
Started the day off with some brain exercises. After lunch we did a little work out and listened to some music. We ended the day making part one of a fall craft. What a fun day!
I am so excited to announce that my soul sister Kristina and I are launching a FB live weekly! We will have different topics, dementia, Alzheimers, health and much much more! Day and time TBD....stay tuned!
We had such a fun day today !
Although we can't make real pizza we made delicious looking pizzas. We talked about what tastes better on them too. Another activity we did was Horse Race! Doug, Hope, Buddy and Romana all won. We even got a little visit from Max.
Today we painted fall leaves, played games, listened and moved to music. We enjoyed a good lunch of homemade chicken soup we also had a furry friend Max visit us for the day.
Today we started the day off doing some arts and crafts. We used flowers to make a sun catcher. We also finished our fish tank backdrop which turned out to be very nice! We had some delicious quiche for lunch and got to do listen to our favorite songs and exercise. Happy Friday everyone!
What a fun day! We started the day off with some terrible jokes and reminisced. After lunch we sang along to some of our favorite tunes and did a bit of exercise. After exercise we started working on our backdrop for the aquarium, played some bingo where Betty won 2 times in a row! We finished off the day with a yummy ice cream snack and good conversations!
I know several people who have taken this course and have loved it! I also participated and it was so empowering! Thanks Kris!
Today: Fall themed activities, some jeopardy and painting
Today we reminisced some more! We tried to guess the logos. We also played named that tune and finished the day off with pretty rainbows. We also had a going away party at the end of the day for Dina! We hope you enjoy your stay with your daughter and look forward to seeing you when you come back! We will miss you.
Today we got to form a band using maracas and drums. We got to reminisce about things from way back and we also played o.k.o where miss Dina won twice! Good job Dina!
5 senses and a bird house

WELCOME BACK JEFF! WE MISSED YOU Today we had so much fun! We got to reminisce some more on parenthood and did a little craft dressing up our babies. To end the day, we got to hear some harmonica played from the soul. It's always nice when we get to hear live music!

Franca...I love the posts on Facebook of what everyone is doing. The baby dolls were brilliant. It almost made me cry to see how happy everyone was. You guys are amazing and we feel so blessed that Mom is on the receiving end of all of this love. It gives us much peace. The above post is feedback from one of our caregivers, a heartfelt thank you to my AMAZING team! Especially Andrea, you are exceptional at what you do. We are so blessed to have you on our team!!!!!!!
What can we find in a baby's room? Thank you for the good day Gerry! We always have a blast with you!
