4 Ways to Manage Your Cavity Pain - If you are experiencing toothache or tooth sensitivity it may be caused by a cavity. Cavities are when decay eats it's way through your enamel, exposing the sensitive nerves that sit in the middle of your tooth. Tooth pain can be excruciatingly painful and hard to deal with. We are going to give you 4 ways to help manage the pain. 1) Rinse your mouth with warm saltwater. Rinsing your mouth with warm salt water may help reduce swelling and b...oost healing. It will also help loosen debris stuck in cavities or in between your teeth. 2) Try dipping a clean cotton ball or cotton swab into some Clove Oil and apply it to your gum. Eugenol which is found in cloves acts as a natural anesthetic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antifungal agent. 3) Keep a clean mouth to prevent further damage and pain. It is important to floss, even in the painful area. Brushing and flossing will help keep the bad bacteria away. 4) Use an over the counter pain reliever. This is only a temporary measure to relieve the pain but using something which has Anti-inflammatory analgesics can help with toothache as the pain is usually caused by swelling.
