This week we’re starting with Charles Tucker, our local Architectural Product Consultant covering USA Mid-West. One of his most memorable projects is Loyola University near the heart of Chicago. The Center for Transitional Research and Education is a medical lab and research facility designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz (SCB) as a certified LEED Gold buildin...g. Solera was used on the exterior curtain wall to provide light diffusion and thermal performance helping to achieve a LEED Gold certification. This space offers 227,000 square-feet of centrally located lab space for ease of flow in the building and contributing to team collaboration. Additionally, the Center offers a 250-seat amphitheater and a 90-seat lecture hall to accommodate both academic and public programs.
