Less red wine teeth stains? We'll cheers to that! Wine stains your teeth because the acid in the drink degrades your enamel, allowing pigments to stick to the surface of your teeth easier. If you're worried about stains, rinse your mouth out with water after you finish your glass and sip water throughout the night (a good idea when drinking anyway!).
Thank you for the kind words, Cindy! We want everyone who visits our clinic to lose their dread of the dental chair. Our team works hard to provide a positive experience every time, no matter what you're coming in for. Find out more about our family-friendly dental clinic: https://bit.ly/2LC1MJo
When flossing, quality counts. In order to get the benefits from regular flossing, technique matters. Just popping the string between your teeth won't actually do much. Instead, curve the floss strong into a 'C' against the side of each tooth. If you're not sure you're flossing correctly, or flossing is painful, get in touch with our team to book a check-up appointment: https://bit.ly/2H0hv2E

Thank you for the kind words, Joselyn! Oral health doesn't live at the dental clinic. We want to help empower you and your family's health by not just providing excellent in-clinic experiences, but also helping you improve your at-home routine and lifestyle for better oral health.
Banishing the bedtime bottle can help boost dental health from a young age. Baby teeth are smaller with less enamel, so the sugar in milk can cause erosion much more quickly, especially if left to work unimpeded overnight. Water is the best bet for good oral and overall health in young kids. If your kids have a hard time giving up the bottle, try diluting the milk a little more every night until the bottle is all waterthen most kids lose interest in the bottle altogether.... We are celebrating two staff members this week as they reached important milestones. Congratulations to Teresa on 15 years, and Taylor for 10 years of dedication and hard work in our office. Thank you for all that you do everyday. #advancedentalgroup #dentist #kelowna #dedicatedstaff
We look after all kinds of smilesbig and small. The best way for your kids to feel at ease in the dental chair is to make check-ups a regular affair before there are any issues. That way, your kids already trust their dentist and won't feel frightened if there's something wrong. Find out more about our family-friendly dental practice: https://bit.ly/2GXbQtS

To change or not to change, that is the question. If you can't remember the last time you swapped out your toothbrush, it's probably been too long. A good rule of thumb is to change our toothbrush every 3-4 months, or sooner if the bristles are worn or you've been sick.... Have questions? Bring all your home oral hygiene questions in during your next appointment and ask away: https://bit.ly/2FAeOEr

You don't need to be a dentist to see early dental health warning signs. If you notice things like teeth sensitivity, jaw aches or loose teeth, don't wait to act. Seeing your dentist can help catch problems early because they require more intensive procedures. Take our dental risk assessment quiz: https://bit.ly/2K7gQOg
Happy Birthday to our CDA Rachael! #birthdaylunch #muffinfromCheryl

Acidic fruits might be chock-a-block full of vitamin C, but they're also highly acidic. Eating them in moderation is step one, but rinsing your mouth with water and waiting to brush for at least 30 minutes after you eat them can also help reduce dental erosion. If you do notice decay, sensitivity or discoloration, get in touch with us to book an appointment: https://bit.ly/32HJ2Oh
You're probably more nervous about your child's first dentist visit than they are! Here are a few ways to help make it a successful onefor both of you: Book the appointment with your child's nap schedule in mind... Schedule their first check-up before there's an actual issue Bring in their complete health history Try not to project your own worries onto your child Get in touch to learn more about our family dentistry and how we work to make every visit a good one: https://bit.ly/31LFMkw
Got milk? Milk isn't just good for your bonesit's also good for your pearly whites! If you start seeing any early signs of acid erosion on your teeth, drinking milk can help remineralize weakened enamel. ... And, of course, make sure you let us know during your next appointment about the issues you're having: https://bit.ly/31LFMkw
An apple a day keeps the dentist awaywell, almost. Swapping out sugary snacks for fruit and veggies can help keep your pearly whites in smiling shape! Food that contains tooth-friendly compounds (like calcium and phosphorus) and that stimulate saliva is best. And crunchy produce like apples, celery and carrots even give your teeth an extra "brush" while you eat!... Learn more about the best snacks for your dental health: https://bit.ly/3dsZztk
You're not the only one who's haunted by dental experiences of old, Dave! Positive attitudes come from positive experiencesthat's why our team works hard to make every appointment a good one. If you have any anxieties or worries about visiting us, we're happy to help you work through them until you feel at ease in the chair again....
