Merry XMAS from the ASLP team !!
Speech therapy humor......
We are so lucky to have the very talented Tatjana on our team as a SLP-Assistant. She will be assisting families mostly with their augmentative communication needs (e.g., TouchChat).
The winners of the bag and the stuffed toys are posted. Please check if that’s you....and make sure you have ‘liked’ the page.
Will do the drawing for the bag tonight. :)
I have kids in all of the categories.
Yay or nay to the masK? The speech clarity actually seems pretty good.
I have just spent a good part of the weekend in the Board of Directors meeting for Speech and Audiology Canada. While I’m sad that I could not attend in person in Ottawa, I’m so grateful to be part of such an amazing organization.
Rosco is cuddling with his new friend. :)
A little weekend fun. Mine says, Check spam. LOL !!!
Just because..... I’m going to give away 2 of these little friends this weekend. Tag someone who you think would want one. If that person responds to the tag with their preferred toy, they get a prize entry Up for grabs:... - Marty Moose - Lucille Seal - Harry P. Otter - Rosco Raccoon - Cooper Cougar Stay safe...and dry... :)
Wishing those who celebrate a very Happy Diwali.
Thank you to all those who are entering our contests and donating your prizes. A very happy 3.5 year old boy left the office today, hugging Rosco Raccoon. :)
Who is willing to take part in our Support Small Business Challenge? From now until Christmas try to check of all of the challenges on the list. Except for #3 they cost nothing and are a massive help to support your favourite business during this holiday season.
This shows the importance of reading...love it!
Candy Cheng, congrats!! You get to choose a toy. Thank you to all of you that have been playing along this month. Refer a friend and you’ll win another toy....or if you’re a client, come to see us within a few days of your birthday.
Did know that speech language pathologists assist people with Parkinson’s disease to communicate, eat and swallow? Thanks for the excellent infographics @alexandra_thespeechie. #speechhearbc #slpeeps #parkinsonsdisease
Last few hours to join in on the contest. . Find the pic of the 5 animals.
Let’s talk about FOOD. The animals have all been named: Marty Moose Lucille Seal... Cooper Cougar Rosco Raccoon Harry P. Otter (though Harry has a twin that may get a name..) What do they like to eat? What do you like to eat? Let’s do the last letter game one last time with food items or drinks. Name a food that people eat, or a drink, starting with the last letter of the food/drink you see listed. There will be 5 lists (unless they get messed up...and if they do...that’s fine). At the end of the weekend, someone gets to choose a toy...I’ll pick a winner.
Today was the final day of our UBC practicum student, Laura. She will really be missed. We know she is going to be a GREAT Speech-Language Pathologist. Here are Laura’s parting words: Huge thank you to everyone at Advantage SLP for being so kind and welcoming of me during my practicum! I feel very lucky that I got to work with an amazing group of clinicians, friendly admin staff and spend time with such lovely families. I will miss everyone and I wish you all the best
The excitement when this arrives in the mail.... :)
Enjoy your new home Harry P. Otter.
LV Leong, I had planned to name the otter Harry P. Otter. Well done!!! Sending you a PM...keep those other otter names coming.....maybe Harry has a twin?
Yay....we got this one too as a finalist !!! BEA#2020 Advantage SLP
Woohoo....we’re a finalist !! . #BEA2020 Advantage SLP
Name the Otter. We have saved the cutest for last (though Marty Moose is still my favorite). I’m doing this contest a bit differently than the other ones. I have a name in mind....if you get it exactly right, you win the otter (one guess per person please). ... However, we are open to other names too...it is possible that this otter may have identical un-named siblings out there. Contest closes Tuesday Oct. 27. Please play along, even if you cannot pick it up.
