Thank you Israel for a wonderful day of learning all about Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead). Israel was our guest speaker today. He is originally from Mexico, but joined us all the way from Barcelona, Spain today! He taught us about the history, customs and meaning of this celebration. He taught us about sugar skulls, among many other traditional symbols, and helped us learn how to make them.

Even though our Halloween celebrations were a little different this year the AC classes found safe and exciting ways to celebrate! We began our day with a Room on the Broom Stem Challenge (design your own broom stick to hold the characters). We then enjoyed some art history with our final AGO virtual field trip and our recreation of the famous art piece The Scream The best part was all of the smiling faces as the students arrived in their creative costumes and watching the...m enjoy some Halloween festivities with their friends. We ended our day with fresh air and dance moves at our outdoor dance!! Wishing everyone a safe and Happy Halloween

Fantastic Halloween fun today and lots of great costumes!

Today we recreated our own versions of Edvard Munch’s Scream. We continued to focus on sky, light, land and water.

Students had a blast at our first ever outdoor Halloween dance!!
