{ Permanent Botanicals } Let's chat about faux, fake, dried, everlasting whatever you want to call them flowers. I have a love hate relationship with Permanent Botanicals and here is why! I love that you can keep them for years to come, but I highly recommend spending the extra if you do want them to look real. If you want good quality, real looking flowers. You are going to be spending a pretty penny. They are more expensive then fresh... florals. BUT you can obviously keep them forever. Krystal & Mike are adventurous and knew that they wanted to spend their day hiking to an amazing waterfall. Knowing that the flowers don't like to be cold, she knew she needed something that would stay perfect for photos when they got there. Permanent Botanicals were really her only option. So I sourced out stems in her favourite colour, and added some preserved eucalyptus. I also used something called a Sola Flower. If you don't know what those are, check them out! { Flower Friday's } Sweet Peas are one of Aprils birth flowers (as well as daisy's). April is also my birth month! I love being a spring baby <3 its when everything starts to bloom and the grass starts to green. Sweet Peas are such a soft and romantic little bloom that smell so amazing! They are native to Sicily, Southern Italy, growing wild there as they love the warmer temperatures. When Tyler and I got married I added my Papa's tie and a necklace to my bouquet. The necklace read "BooBoo, Love Papa" That way he was always with me and watching over me. { Flower Friday } Rice Flower - These are a really gorgeous filler flower. Native to Australia, they come in white sand a beautiful pink colour. Stems are mostly woody and have many tiny flower heads that resembles rice! They have been used for throwing over just married couples at ceremonies These blooms are actually apart of the aster and sunflower family. I find them to be a gorgeous in a bouquet or really in any arrangement, the soft pink colour is a f...avorite of mine for sure. { Toffee Roses } the rose of all roses! They come with extra large blooms and are quick to open to show their full beauty. I can't tell you how many incredibly gorgeous palletes these babies will go with. Flower Friday's { Pussy Willows } These are my absolute favorite branch, hands down. I actually have a vase that holds branches as tall as me in our home. They remind me of my childhood and how my Ogi (grandma) always had them in her home or her yard during the spring months. They have these soft little buds that start at the end of winter, that are actually a soft coating of hairs that acts as insulation to protect these early bloomers from cold temperatur...es. These willow shrubs are found to grow in wetlands and moist woods throughout North America. Most cut pussy willow stems are in a sort of time warpdried at their peak fuzziness, and never going to fully flower. But if you keep fresh-cut pussy willows in a vase with water, you can see the whole flowering cycle and even the leafing-out process.
