This is sooo important! People overstimulate their dogs so often, but its equally important to teach them how to just be!

THIS IS IMPORTANT! Please take a moment to fill out this survey. BSL has no business here. Calgary used to be the city that other places looked at when REPEALING their own BSL, so why is the city even considering this nonsense? Calgary has proven over and over that BSL does not work!!!

Welcome back to my little Lucy goose who was taking some time off through Covid! We missed you!

Izzys first group photo went fairly well! We practice both obedience and patience to balance out the movement in the pack. Working drives are great and Im definitely great at building athletes, but one of the reasons I have such a well behaved pack is because I also work to achieve balanced, calm dogs.

Looking forward to welcoming Miss Izzy to the pack this week!

Moana has been with the pack for just over a year now, but has been at home since covid started (her people are medical professionals and wanted to make sure they werent going to infect me). We ran into her at the park today and after some excited squeals and belly rubs, she fell right back into line with the pack. It was so nice to be reunited and we cant wait to welcome her back to the pack in what sounds like could be a couple of weeks!

My 8th year of self employment begins today... so many furry faces, hundreds upon hundreds of kilometres walked, one seriously broken hand and so many memories. Im humbled that I still walk a handful of the clients that I had my very first year and that I have so many long term dogs on the roster. Im even more grateful for my fabulous clients who have shown me kindness, generosity and love over the years. I truly wouldnt be where I am today without several of you helping me along the way and being there to lend an ear (you know who you are). Every single one of these dogs touches my heart in some way. I feel very fortunate in this moment

Can my dog or cats fur be infected with COVID-19 if an infected human comes in contact with my pet? @Dr. Karen Becker & Rodney Habib interview Dr. Sarah Ca...ddy, veterinarian and one of the UKs top infectious disease experts, to give you the latest updates on coronavirus and pets, and to help learn about what we can all do in regards to our pets to fight the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). With massive, non-stop media conflicting headlines, terrible humans are dumping pets into the streets and/or off at their local shelters. If you know of such a person, please be sure to send them along this vodcast before they make those terrible decisions. SMALL BUSINESS NEEDS YOU CALGARY! Anyone who knows us at Muttley Cre, knows that one of the core values of our business practice is our belief in supporting ot...her local businesses. We purchase and have our supplies and shampoos made right here in Calgary because it helps support our local economy, helps build lasting relationships with the people we are blessed to do business with and because we know that small, unique businesses are what makes Calgary the most incredible city around! Because of this, we wanted to make a little statement about Covid-19 and its implications for small businesses, just like ours. The unfortunate reality is that a lot of small, service based businesses arent able to allow staff to work from home or financially able to compensate staff for extended sick leave or quarantine. Not all employees are on salaries and insurance wont cover those loses. Travel plans are being cancelled which for us, means less boarding dogs. Clients are asked to stay or work from home which means less daycare dogs. The harsh reality of this virus economically, is that its going to hit small, local businesses the hardest. Need dog food? Buy from a locally owned pet store. Need milk or other groceries? Purchase from your local corner store. Need a pedicure? Buy a gift certificate for later from your local nail salon Hungry? Order delivery from a local restaurant down the block. We cant predict whats around the corner but we can encourage everyone to do a little bit each day to help out the incredible local businesses and even more amazing local owners and employees that pour their hearts and souls into the businesses that make this city great! WE LOVE YOU, CALGARY! #supportlocal #shoplocal #smallbusinesscalgary #calgarybuzz #belocal #calgary #yycbusiness #calgarydogs #dogsofcalgary #yycdogsofinstagram #yycdogs #dogsofyyc #albertabusiness #loveyourlocalmarket #belocal #wevegotthiscalgary #localbusiness #smallbusinessyyc

Concerned about the reports of grain free diets and DCM?

Harnesses were created for pulling. Out of all of the tools out there, this one gives your dog their full body weight to pull you around. If your dog is walked on a harness and is out of control, change to a tool that will help you get the upper hand!

A few weeks ago I lost one of my personal dogs, Bella, to cancer. She was an incredible dog and her death was both unexpected (she was almost 7),abd a devastating loss to both me and the work pack. While I could never imagine replacing her, the other two dogs in my home pack are seniors so a new addition was inevitable. Please welcome Miss Mia to the pack, taking her own little piece of my heart every day

Do you know if your dog is overweight? I see overweight dogs every single day and it makes me sad! Dogs should never be overweight unless there is a medical condition to possibly factor in. Like humans, being overweight can lead a dog to several health issues - mobility issues, joint pain, heart disease, etc. I encourage you to take a solid look at your dog and if they need to lose some weight, its on you to help them because you are most likely the reason theyre overweight... to begin with. The easiest way is to cut down their feeding amounts at meal times (NO FREE FEEDING), limit treats and give your dog some exercise! If you use treats for training, those are not free calories. Take that food out of their meals as well so all those calories arent adding up. Dogs should be peppy and active, NOT couch potatoes. Even the laziest dogs enjoy a good walk! #winterweight #dogsarenotlazy #canineobesity See more
