Hi everyone. It floors me that people who are wanting to make a life change such as deciding to move to a different city doesn’t do much research on where they will live what they will do how transportation works etc. What is even more of a concern is when this happens when moving to another country another culture language etc. Wow. People !!! This is a huge decision and one that is not made lightly. You must do research. The biggest thing is to make sure the person who is h...elping you is legitimate. I cannot tell you how many scammers there out there around the world. The first thing is ask yourself these questions: Is someone in your country going to be given the ok by the Canadian government to work on Canadian immigration?? Think about that. I am Canadian - do you think that I would be allowed to do immigration to Europe or India or anywhere else. NO. So what makes you think someone in your country can do Canadian immigration Think people Do you think that employers In Canada or any other country will go to a foreign country and tell a foreign company to find workers for them when there are thousands of Canadian recruiting companies who do that on Canada. First why would an employer trust someone they don’t know. What are the rules of that country Third do you think that the Canadian government would allow anyone to charge you the worker the foreigner to get a job for you where you pay upwards of $10k when the Canadian government’s goal is to hire a Canadian first. Why wld the govt ask some who is working as a food service person to pay $10k or even more to come to Canada to work for a year and earn $15k. That is a scammer who does this. There are so many other terrible things scammers will say and do to convince you he is legit. If that is true contact the iccrc member who is listed on their website and must be on the iccrc website to make sure that they are real. If they won’t let you do that there is something wrong. March is fraud prevention month and it is our mission to get rid of all the illegal ghosts who do this. Help us stamp out fraud. It’s unethical and it’s unconscionable. Do your due diligence. This is the biggest decision in your life and you need to make sure you work with the right people. Think about it. Your tooth hurts. You don’t to someone down the street to get it pulled. You find out who is licensed who he has seen and you talk to people to make sure he is licensed educated and able to take on the extraction. This might cost you $200 to get done. Think about immigration. It’s a bigger cost and a bigger commitment. It is going to change your life and you want to find the cheapest local you can. Wow. Think about it. !!! Immigration is life changing. Don’t you think you should pay the right person to do the right thing for you?? That person certainly will not be in your country. They are Canadian amd 99 pèrcent of the time in Canada. !!

Canada Further Tightens Travel Across the Border Frost Brown Todd LLC Canada recently announced quarantine requirements on all travelers entering Canada due to COVID-19. Travelers exhibiting or experiencing cough, fever, or difficulty breathing must immediately isolate for 14 days upon arrival. Travelers who do not have a place to isolate will be required to isolate for 14 days in a facility designated by the Canadian government. Travelers not exhibiting symptoms are also req...uired to self-isolate for 14 days immediately upon arrival. Healthy persons who are essential to the movement of goods and people are exempt from the mandatory quarantine. This includes transportation industry workers, workers directly involved in moving goods across the border, and workers who commute across the border for their employment. This decision comes after two additional rounds of border restrictions are still in place. Canada originally announced on March 16, 2020 that the country was closing its borders to all travelers except Canadian citizens, U.S. citizens, and persons involved in the flow of goods and trade across the border. Then on March 20, 2020, the U.S. and Canada announced that all non-essential travel across the border would be prohibited. Travel for purposes of tourism and social visits are, for the time being, not possible. Travel for employment, necessary business travel, and travel-related to supply chains and flow of goods across the border is still permitted, although now potentially subject to the mandatory 14-day quarantine. The latest border restrictions present two key takeaways. First, given the somewhat vague details of what business travelers are essential to the movement of goods and people, some legitimate business travelers to Canada might find themselves subject to the mandatory 14-day quarantine. Anyone planning business travel to Canada should consider how essential such travel is to their business, and whether the travel might be postponed. Second, travel across the border has been significantly restricted multiple times recently. Further restrictions, and a more significant border shutdown, are conceivable, so anyone planning to travel to Canada right now must consider the possibility that returning home may take longer and be more difficult than initially planned.

Something to ease the minds of students out there who have not been able to come to Canada to pursue their education yet. This was announced by IRCC on August 28th Important new measures on post-graduation work permit eligibility for students beginning programs online Ottawa, August 26, 2020Many prospective international students who would like to study in Canada this fall are facing uncertainty due to travel restrictions. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada recogn...izes this, and will continue to ensure that Canada’s immigration programs are flexible to respond to these uncertainties with 3 new measures on post-graduation work permit eligibility for students beginning programs online. These changes are being implemented to provide more flexibility on eligibility rules for the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program for students who need or want to start their Canadian study program online from abroad. Three changes are being introduced: Students may now study online from abroad until April 30, 2021, with no time deducted from the length of a future post-graduation work permit, provided 50% of their program of study is eventually completed in Canada. Students who have enrolled in a program that is between 8 and 12 months in length, with a start date from May to September 2020, will be able to complete their entire program online from abroad and still be eligible for a post-graduation work permit. Students who have enrolled in a program with a start date from May to September 2020 and study online up to April 30, 2021, and who graduate from more than one eligible program of study, may be able to combine the length of their programs of study when they apply for a post-graduation work permit in the future, as long as 50% of their total studies are completed in Canada. To be eligible for these measures, students must have submitted a study permit application before starting a program of study in the spring, summer, or fall 2020 semester, or the January 2021 semester. All students must eventually be approved for a study permit. The easing of COVID-19 related restrictions will depend on the progress made in Canada and around the world in containing the spread of the coronavirus. IRCC will continue to closely monitor the situation and assess whether further changes are needed.
