This year, we are grateful for many things - for our health, our work on projects that make the lives of others better. But one thing we cherish the most is the friendships and trust of our clients. Wishing everyone Happy Thanksgiving.

We were beside ourselves when the Toronto Bruce Trail Club chose us to redesign their website, and we are enjoying every minute of it. And when we need an inspiration we go for a hike :-)

"If you look closely (or even glance quickly), you’ll see that the most recent post in my blog before this one dates back to 2014, or roughly thirty years in Internet time." That is the last blog post by Steve Kruger, Web Usability expert who has not written a blog post in 6 years!! Can you relate? :-) ... Some of us are great at keeping up with their blog, and some of us dread it like a visit to the dentist. There are many ways to keep your website "live" and show your work and expertise, blogging is just one of them. If you hate it, don't push yourself. Find something you enjoy to do that helps you promote your business, your expertise and your website. Please share what strategies do you use and enjoy.

Are you redesigning your website? Then read about my meeting with a young entrepreneur who wanted "something different" and learn about Jacob’s Law of web usability. ***** Jacob's Law says that users expect your website to work the same way as all the other websites they know. Does this mean that you should not try new things? Absolutely not. But it means that you should stick to conventions if you want your visitors to interact with your website and your brand without a seco...nd of hesitation. Instead of confusing, even turning away your visitors, take advantage of the existing mental models. Use use proven elements, layouts, functionality to offer a great user experience. Otherwise, you are risking that your visitors will hit the back button before they give your website a chance.
