IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM THE TRUSTEES F.O.E. 2098 The Board of Trustees acknowledges that the Province of Alberta is about to implement Step 1 in the relaxation of some of the current COVID-19 restrictions.... Step 1 will go into effect February 8, 2021 and would allow us to open our doors with enhanced safety measures in place. However, the Board of Trustees has determined that a delay in opening the Club is warranted given uncertainties surrounding the new variants of COVID-19. This will be monitored closely. The Club opening is tentatively set for March 1, 2021 but will be dependent on Provincial and Health regulations/restrictions at that time. The Board of Trustees will continue to provide updates about the re-opening as they become available. Stay Tuned!

IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM THE TRUSTEES In light of the current Public Health Orders, we once again have to make adjustments to remain aligned and compliant with new health orders. Please be advised that:... Effective immediately, and until further notice, all Aerie and Ladies Auxilliary Meetings are hereby cancelled. Refer to the attached notice. Effective Friday, November 27, 2020: Maximum 6 people from one household may sit together at one table. People who live alone may sit with up to 2 non-household contacts only; non-household contacts must be the same at all times. Only seated eating and drinking is allowed. There can be no movement between tables. No other services will be allowed. Please refer to the attached notice. These health orders MUST be adhered to at all times. No exceptions will be allowed.

IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES COVID-19 continues to make us re-think how we conduct our business and how we interact with each other during these uncertain times. Effective Immediately, and until further notice, all Calgary Aerie 2098 members and non-member guests will be required to:... Wear a face covering or mask when entering and leaving the premises, and when leaving your table to use the washrooms or visiting with someone at another table. This is in accordance with the City of Calgary COVID-19 Bylaw. Once you enter the premises - stake out your favourite seat - and take it. Standing in the aisles and between tables is prohibited. At this time, meat draws and bottle draws will NOT be reinstated. Burger Sundays are also discontinued until further notice. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you apprised of any changes as they occur. Thank you. Board of Trustees

EXTRA EXTRA .... READ ALL ABOUT IT! Curling Season is about to kick off. With Curling comes Burgers!... On October 18, 2020 Curling is going to do a "test" Sunday Burger day. Due to COVID-19, we have learned to make adjustments and Sunday Burger Day will be no exception. You MUST adhere to the club social distancing rules which are: When you come in to the club, find your favourite chair and take a seat. Order forms will be available so that you can specify what you want on your burger. Place your order with your server and pay the server $5.00 (ea.). The burgers will be cooked and prepared at the prep station by the BBQ. Once the burgers are ready, your server will bring your order to you. Your only job will be to ENJOY the burger and THANK the volunteers who cooked it and served it. Let's make this work in an effort to get some normalcy back in the club.

REMINDER NOTICE The next Aerie 2098 Meeting is scheduled for: 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm... Wednesday - August 26, 2020 This meeting will take place as scheduled.

During the 2020 Annual Meetings in Reno, Nevada, the following law changes related to membership were passed on the floor by a vote of the Aerie delegates: 1. T...he $10 re-enrollment fee will be waived until December 31, 2020, for members who were dropped this year from the rolls for failure to pay dues. This rule is effective Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Any members who were charged a re-enrollment fee prior to July 22 will not be entitled to a refund. 2. Any member who was dropped this year for failure to pay dues who re-enrolls before the end of the current fraternal year (May 31, 2021) will be allowed to keep their years of membership. These members will still be considered re-enrolled and will be subject to a vote of the membership but will retain their original initiation date. This includes benefit membership status, so long as they pay the proper dues amount associated with benefit membership. Any member dropped in a previous year who re-enrolls will NOT be entitled to having their years of membership reinstated. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and the effect it has had both health-wise and financially on our members, the Grand Aerie approved these measures as a way to assist members impacted by the pandemic.
