We are pleased to announce that the @cae.inc Air1 ventilator, supported by @aerocomfittings, has been certified by Health Canada. Aerocom has contributed 15 custom parts to this Canadian-made ventilator, which will be used in hospitals across the country to treat #COVID19 patients. Certification comes two months after CAE signed a contract with the Government of Canada to manufacture and supply 10,000 ventilators. Aerocom was called upon early to resolve existing leak issues in the first prototype units and rapidly developed a plan to secure all connections within the ventilator. Understanding the urgency of the COVID-19 crisis, we developed eight original hose fittingssome items from the drawing boardto finished machined product and into CAE’s hands in less than a day.
