Moving right along to 2021..... We at AFCA Toastmasters Club..held our first zoom meeting on January 11, 2021. With the meeting Theme..Pursuit of Happiness! T...o kick of the new Year! We welcome 2 new members, definitely a great way to start the year! Prepared Speech the first segment of a Toastmasters Meeting, touch on a relevant and for sure a topic that would resonate to almost everyone New Years resolution with a 2 step process. 1..Realize what you want and why you want it. 2. Plan and get ready to pivot In conclusion... don't waste a decade.. make your dreams come true Table Topics Impromptu Speaking Always the fun and exciting segment of the Meeting. As we challenged ourselves to think fast on our feet! Sample Questions - based on the Theme: Pursuit of Happiness What is happiness for you? For everyone to be happy what tips that you would suggest? Is Happiness a trait or is it a state of mind? At the end of the session we vote for the Best Table Topics speaker. Just to spice up the challenge! :) And of courseWhat is a Toastmasters Meeting without an Evaluation. The third segment is the General Evaluation, or what we fondly call the Moment of Truthas in this segment we find out if we did or did not do well, are there areas to improve and suggestions for improvements. Through the evaluations members grow and improve themselves in terms of being a good speaker, gaining confidence and also helps the Club improve the quality of meetings.
